I left for work today and was greeted with an unexpected dusting of snow that had occurred overnight. It wasn’t a ton, but my whole patio was covered. While it had indeed been getting colder over the past few days, I had figured that the arrival of March meant that the snow season (at least in Lausanne) was behind us.
Aside from the cold weather, one clear sign that Spring is indeed upon us is the lengthening day. It’s nice to finally have light out when I leave for my 6:30pm French class at night. And when Daylight Savings takes place later this month we’ll have sunlight until nearly 8pm.
Speaking of Daylight Savings, it’s weird to me that the time change here is a full two weeks behind the time change for the U.S. I don’t remember such a difference last Fall when I set the clock back an hour.
