Moscow - Day I

.
We began the day by walking to the Kremlin. Thankfully it was near the hotel given the winter-like weather in the morning. Here are some pictures to prove my point…

As we passed through the security gate to enter the Kremlin, one of the guards tried to scare us I think. He said something in broken English referencing something illegal in Emilie’s bag and after a bit of an awkward silence he started to laugh. I pretended to laugh back as I wasn’t sure what else to do.

Once inside the premises, we walked around a bit to take pictures and visited the various orthodox cathedrals, which served a dual purpose – both cultural and the opportunity to warm up a bit.

Here’s a picture of the "Ivan the Great" Belltower, which supposedly marks the center of Moscow.
