After a night back in Lausanne I’m now in Italy for work. The first stop is Rome, where I’ll be until tomorrow afternoon, followed by a few days in Fiumicino (in the countryside not far from the airport). Unfortunately there won’t be any time for sightseeing. While I’ve visited Rome before, I’m sure that I still could have found plenty of new things to see.
At least I was able to eat at a very good restaurant, though. It was recommended by the hotel and turned out to be exactly what we were looking for – a “local” spot that felt more like someone’s kitchen than a restaurant. The food was extremely good, and aside from me and my colleagues there wasn’t a trace of foreigners / tourists.
